This topic was interesting because we discussed about different places
and cultures around the world. We learned about some traditions and lifestyle
of people that live in places like Africa, Bhutan, United States and Brazil. For example in Bhutan, people live in harmony with nature and their
environment also live in harmony with each other, with no discrimination of any
kind.
The grammar activities for this unit was the use of present tense and I
learned this:
·
Present Perfect is
used to talk about an action in the past when the time is not important to
known.
·
Use the present
perfect continues when focusing on the activity itself.
·
To describe an action
that happened in the pas5t but has the result in the present you need to use
present perfect.
When we were discussing, we compared some places and cultures, for this
reason we studied some rules like:
·
Add er and est to
form the comparatives and superlatives of one syllable adjectives and adverbs.
·
For two syllable
adjectives ending in y, form the comparative and superlative by removing the y
and adding ier or iest.
·
Use more and most to
form the comparative and superlatives of adjectives with two or more syllables.
At the end, I learned a little bit of vocabulary.
·
Drizzle: To rain
gently in fine.
·
Sweltering:
Oppressively hot and humid; sultry.
·
Breeze: A light
current of air; a gentle wind.
·
Overcast: covered or
obscured, as with clouds or mist.
·
Mild: Warm and full
of sunshine
·
Daunt: to intimidate
