Unit 8 Aiming for Success

In this class we were talking about, how can you get success in your life? In my case I told about one specific person Iker Casillas Fernández born in Madrid 20 May 1981, is a Spanish footballer, captain and goalkeeper of Real Madrid CF in the First Division of Spain and the Spanish national team, with whom he won the championship of Europe in 2008 and 2012 and world champion in 2010, becoming the first player to lift a triplet selections. In his career he has achieved many titles, it's a successful person and most importantly is that after all is humble, because sometimes accepted his mistakes and has provided media very sensible statements.
But Iker is not only dedicated to football but he has also done various charity actions further highlight its value as a person. In December 2007, Iker Casillas, next to the tennis player Rafael Nadal and other celebrities, participated in a charity match to raise funds in order to help eradicate malaria. In May 2008 he participated in the solidarity week organized by the University Alfonso X the Wise, for fundraising, intended for educational projects for disadvantaged children in the third world with Unicef.

I consider a person to follow due to it being a captain in the club where campaigning and still be the captain of your national team, I think it truly is a good leader as much capacity is needed to handle two important backstage as they are Real Madrid and Spain National Team or the Red as it is known popularly. This is my example of success person.

First we need to prepare pizza dough, to do this we take a bowl and mix in there three cups of flour, oil and half liter of water.
After we need to give a circular shape to dough, then we add some ingredients like meat, ham, pepperoni, tomato sauce, cheese, mushrooms and onion.
Now we bake the pizza for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile we wait for the pizza, I decided cook some breadsticks, it is very easy and delicious. With the same dough of the pizza only need to make some sticks and add some species like basil. Bake for 10 minutes approximately, serve with a tomato sauce and a little cheese and enjoy it.

Unit 6 Exploring the world

This topic was interesting because we discussed about different places and cultures around the world. We learned about some traditions and lifestyle of people that live in places like Africa, Bhutan, United States and Brazil. For example in Bhutan, people live in harmony with nature and their environment also live in harmony with each other, with no discrimination of any kind.
The grammar activities for this unit was the use of present tense and I learned this:
·         Present Perfect is used to talk about an action in the past when the time is not important to known.
·         Use the present perfect continues when focusing on the activity itself.
·         To describe an action that happened in the pas5t but has the result in the present you need to use present perfect.

When we were discussing, we compared some places and cultures, for this reason we studied some rules like:
·         Add er and est to form the comparatives and superlatives of one syllable adjectives and adverbs.
·         For two syllable adjectives ending in y, form the comparative and superlative by removing the y and adding ier or iest.
·         Use more and most to form the comparative and superlatives of adjectives with two or more syllables.

At the end, I learned a little bit of vocabulary.
·         Drizzle: To rain gently in fine.
·         Sweltering: Oppressively hot and humid; sultry.
·         Breeze: A light current of air; a gentle wind.
·         Overcast: covered or obscured, as with clouds or mist.
·         Mild: Warm and full of sunshine
·         Daunt: to intimidate
