This time I am writing a short column about places that you have to visit in Costa Rica. I hope to give you some advice to avoid embarrassment or uncomfortable situations in that country.

            First, it doesn’t matter when you decide to visit Costa Rica, because it has a kind of a mild weather (not extreme weather), actually you can choose in which type of climate you stay. If you like hot weather maybe you can go to Guanacaste, Puntarenas, these places have a lot of beaches like: Conchal, Hermosa, Panama, Samara and others. But if you prefer cold weather you can stay in zones like Monteverde, Coronado, and Cartago. In those sites you will find beautiful landscapes, Monteverde is the region with the highest density of orchids in the planet.

Other option is opting for visiting the capital, San Jose. In the capital you can watch and know a little bit about the culture of Costa Rica, they have many theaters. The most important one is The National Theater, located in Plaza de la Cultura. Talking about it, in that place you can meet the local people, if you decide to speak Spanish with them, be careful with your words, because in Central America we have many different slangs, and one simple word for you can meaning an insult for them. In that case the tico will face you or like they say “encarar”, and you can guess the rest of the story. About public transportation in Costa Rica, it is very easy to move from one place to other, you only need about one dollar and choosing your next stop.

If you get sick, don’t worry, Costa Rica has one of the best healthcare systems around the world. When it comes to crime obviously like other paces Costa Rica has a dangerous zone, but if you don’t go there probably your stay will be pleasant.

            In other words, you have to visit Costa Rica, it is an amazing country and offers you many adventures, for example: you can go from the Pacific Coast to the Caribbean Coast in only one day, because this country is very small, but in this little piece of territory you can find a lot of weathers and different views and landscapes. Also is the county with more biodiversity in the world, in fact it has 6% of the whole biodiversity of planet.

For this and more you should visit Costa Rica!!!  

Spain

This time I need to choose one place to do one trip during seven days. Obviously is complicated choose one place to vacation but I opted for Spain. Now I going to tell you some places that I probably i will visit during my stay in Spain. 

The Palacio Real de Madrid is kind of home for King of Spain. This place is open to the people except when they celebrated a special and official activity in that occasion the palace is closed to public. The palace was built in 1738 and it was the house of the king Carlos III in 1764. Next I will go to the museum of Salvador Dali, he was a painter, and her museum is located in Figueres in Cataluña, Spain. It is a beautiful and historic place. It is one of the most important places in northern Spain.

Have you ever been heard about Antonio Gaudi? I am sure that your answer is yes! So my next place to visit is….  Sagrada Familia is a church actually a famous church. It’s located in Barcelona. This church was built in 1882 but its construction is not over, yes its difficult believe in that, but its true! This was the principal work of Gaudi, he worked in that church during 40 years.
